JOHN EDWARDS

Sadly For His Campaign, This Is the Most Head-Turning Story About John Edwards in a While

This story, about John Edwards' campaign hiring a woman to make a series of short video documentaries about the candidate, spending $114,000 and then never using the footage, seems extremely odd. It seems the woman had limited experience in the area, and Edwards' One American Committee - itself dedicated to fighting poverty and lifting Americans into the middle class - spent more than usual, according to political consultants quoted in the story.

Mickey Kaus thinks there's another angle - suspicious minds will have thought of it already - but it relies on the National Enquirer, so take it with the amount of salt you feel is necessary.
