If Only Creigh Deeds’ Memorial Day Weekend Had Started a Bit Earlier

Creigh Deeds, a state legislator from rural Bath County, Virginia, was having perhaps his gubernatorial campaign’s best day, enjoying the surprise endorsement of the Washington Post.

And then, according to CNN’s Peter Hamby, he admitted in an appearance today that he did not know what the minimum wage in Virginia is.

It is currently $6.55; on July 24, it will be raised to $7.25.
