RUDY GIULIANI, MITT ROMNEY

Rudy and Romney, Both Straight to the Jugular on Sanctuary Cities

A guy from New York asks Rudy, "if you're president, will you continue to aid and abet illegal aliens into this country?"

Giuliani: New York City was not a sanctuary city. Said those who committed crimes were deported. Says that as President, would have more power and ability to address the issue.

Romney says yes, it was a sanctuary city. Everybody who was here illegally had already committed a crime.

Giuliani: Mitt generally criticizes people in which he has by far the wiorst. He had six santuary cities in his home state. At his own home illegal immigrants were employed. (Hooting, applause.)

Rudy accuses him of having a "Sanctuary Mansion." Damn.

Romney: Mayor, you know better than that. It's offensive to suggest that if you're a homeowner and you hire a company, if you hear someone with a funny accent and say "I want to see your papers." This gets some applause, and then total crosstalk.

Rudy: You have a special illegal immigration problem that no one else up here has - you employed illegal immigrants.

Cooper wants to move on.
