SOMETHING LIGHTER, JOHN MCCAIN

I'm Not Sure If they Taser You At an NRA Gathering

I'm just outside the NRA Convention at the Washington Hilton. Sen. John Thune's speech was briefly disrupted by a Code Pink (I suspect) type chanting, "No more war crimes! Don't Iraq Iran!"

No tasers were handy. The NRA delegates seemed uniformly unpersuaded. by her argument. One just lamented to me, "I'm sure that's the only thing we'll see about this on the news tonight."

Oh, Sen. John McCain just arrived, as she's now yelling outside something about Arizona.

Some NRAniks were less than pleased with McCain's campaign finance reform legislation, but I notice that as he enters, NRA delegates are asking to have their picture taken with him. I doubt he'll get a chilly reception.
