RUDY GIULIANI, JOHN MCCAIN

Rudy: If I Weren't Running, I'd Be a McCain Man

Drudge is spotlighting this comment by Rudy:

Do I have any plans on killing McCain Feingold? (laughter) Gee, why don't you ask Senator McCain that? He knows more about McCain-Feingold... Let me tell you a few things. This is not personal at all, because I happen to be a very big admirer of Sen. McCain. And I can tell you quite honestly that if I weren't running for president, I would be here supporting him. In fact, if for some reason I made a decision not to run, he'd be my candidate. I really admire the man tremendously.

Thought One: So, if Rudy falls short at some point, and McCain is still in, does Rudy automatically endorse McCain?

Thought Two: Will this spur talk of a Rudy-McCain ticket?

Is it just me, or is this one of the better pieces of news for John McCain in a while? Or will everyone who likes Fred say, "Ah, RINOs of a feather flock together?"
