Corzine, Down 12, Learning Attack Ads Are a Depreciating Asset in a Slumping Economy
Quinnipiac puts Chris Christie up 12 over Jon Corzine in New Jersey. "Republican challenger Christopher Christie is pulling away from Democratic incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine and now holds a 53 – 41 percent lead among likely voters in the New Jersey Governor’s race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today."
This is somewhat interesting, since Corzine unleashed negative ads in a fast and furious manner in recent weeks. It does not appear he's getting his money's worth so far.
The Republican Governors Association would like 19 seconds of your time, if you live in the Garden State.
Meanwhile, Rasmussen's latest poll in the state reveals, "Among those swayable voters [who have not yet decided], just three percent have a Very Favorable opinion of Corzine while 32 percent have a Very Unfavorable view. For Christie, the comparable numbers are four percent Very Favorable and 16 percent Very Unfavorable."
UPDATE: Well, I'm sure this will help: "Gov. Jon Corzine is close to naming Randal Pinkett as his choice for a lieutenant governor running mate, according to a report in The Asbury Park Press. Pinkett, 34, is best known as the Season 4 winner of 'The Apprentice,' NBC's hit reality television show featuring Donald Trump."
