Andrew Sullivan is bothered by this illustration accompanying an endorsement of Barack Obama in an Oregon weekly paper.
But that's not really all that unusual, if you've been checking the alternatively hilarious and disturbing blog, "Is Barack Obama The Messiah?".
I'm sure you remember these magazine covers.
And this poster:
The will.i.am music video for the campaign states it clearly: "he's almost like a...revival...for a lot of people's souls."
Or take the candidate's word (or is it "Word"?) for it: "My job this morning is to be so persuasive . . . that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack."
