MITT ROMNEY, RUDY GIULIANI

Buzz Focusing on Giuliani and Romney

A former colleague of mine was at a lunch event last week and shared a table with a major conservative figure in Washington.

"He was completely dismissive of any scenario that ends with anybody but Romney or Giuliani getting the nomination. That seems to be where everybody is now heading, even with the latest mini-revival for McCain (how many mini-revivals for McCain is that, now?) Is there anybody serious out there who thinks otherwise; anybody without an emotional attachment to a candidate, I mean?"

I've been hearing that kind of talk, too, and it's coming from folks who are not particularly enthused about either candidate.
