MITT ROMNEY

Romney's New Ad in Iowa

Romney has a new ad out in Iowa.

GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY:  "Thousands of miles across Iowa for the Romney family, and the next miles take us to Ames for the Republican Straw Poll, Saturday the 11th.

"I hope you'll join us to send a message to Washington.

"Washington politicians in both parties have proven they can't control spending, and they won't control our borders.

"I will, but I need your help to do it.

"So come on to Ames.  After all, changing America always starts in Iowa.

"I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message."

I don't think too many people doubt Romney's going to win this straw poll. The question is, does anybody else come close? Do Rudy, McCain and/or Fred get any decent numbers for not officially participating? ((In other words, can you attract motivated supporters without really trying? A busload of Fredheads is on their way to Iowa.) For the second tier - Huckabee, Brownback, Tancredo, Ron Paul, Tommy Thompson — it's go big or go home. Iowa is one state where organization and ground game can make a big difference; if you don't have it rocking and rolling now, nobody will have much faith in your abilities in the actual caucuses.
