SOMETHING LIGHTER
Yes, There's a Race Going On... But Favre's a Jet!
If you sense a giddiness in my posts today, it has a lot more to do with Brett Favre becoming a Jet than any particular bump in the road for Barack Obama... Rejoice, Andy McCarthy. The Jets got one of the all time greats, with seemingly plenty left in the tank (otherwise the Packers wouldn't have minded him going to an NFC team) for a song. I'd easily give up a number two pick for a playoff spot, and gladly trade a first-round pick to get my team in the Super Bowl.
Having said that, this is an interesting development...
Late yesterday, the McCain campaign released a new web video called “Praising McCain” which features Democrats such as Sens. John Kerry and Joe Biden and even his opponent Barack Obama saying nice things about the Republican presidential candidate. The video closes with Hillary Clinton saying, “I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.” This video comes on the heels of potential McCain running mate Minn. Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s praise of Obama yesterday. "Say what you will about Barack Obama, people gravitate when you have something positive to say," Pawlenty said.
"Nice guy" campaigning in order to offset any charges of negative campaigning? A coordinated strategy?
