Snow Keeping Michigan Turnout Down

Campaign Spot reader Bruce reports that turnout is down from previous years, at least so far...

In Oakland County [north suburban Detroit] we had three inches of snow overnight, and now its 20s and windy. At my polling place only 16 people had voted by 8:54 a.m. [The automatic ballot reader shows how many have voted on an LED.] I always vote around 8:45 to 9:00 a.m. Normally 50 to 70 have voted by then.

I don’t know who a light turn out favors. I’d guess it favors Romney and Huckabee over McCain.
