JOHN MCCAIN, MITT ROMNEY

McCain Might Sweep the South. Yeah, You Heard Me.

My gut instinct on this one is skepticism — I've figured that if Mike Huckabee can't finish with the biggest slice of the pie in Southern states, then he's not going to do it anywhere outside of Iowa. But

Insider Advantage in Georgia: McCain 35, Huckabee 24, Romney 24.

Survey USA in Oklahoma: McCain 37, Huckabee 28, Romney 19.

Capital Survey Research Center in Alabama: McCain 28, Huckabee 24, Romney 15. (This poll included Giuliani, who got 9 percent.)

Insider Advantage in Tennessee: McCain 33, Huckabee 25, Romney 18.

I know Romney and Huckabee (and Paul) are making a lot of noise about fighting all the way to the convention. But if McCain sweeps the Southern states on Tuesday, then in the words of a famous philosopher, "game over, man."

Then again, maybe these results aren't so nutty, if the Fox News national poll is accurate and it's McCain 48, Romney 20...
