Traffic on Daily Kos Decreasing As Primaries Approach?

I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't come from the site itself, and was an admission against interest: The traffic to Daily Kos peaked in August of this year, dipped significantly in September, and has been trending downward so far since then.

Putting aside what we think of Daily Kos, its contributors, its readers, etc., that's pretty much the opposite of what one would expect as we head into two competitive, exciting presidential primaries, right?

Commenters on the thread attribute it to "candidate wars." Yup, those can get exhausting to read...
