FRED THOMPSON

The Post Argues With Thompson, Contends Soviets Fought For "Other People's Liberty"

The Thompson campaign is having a good laugh at the Washington Post for arguing against their man's statement that "our people have shed more blood for other people's liberty than any other combination of nations in the history of the world."

The Post's argument - that the Soviet Union shed more blood - requires an awfully broad definition of "for other people's liberty."

It's an inauspicious start to the Washington Post's new "fact check" feature.
