HORSERACE

Maybe Harry Reid Could Use a Sex Scandal

Which Nevada senator has a higher approval rating, Harry Reid or John Ensign?

According to Mason-Dixon, it's John Ensign, and it's not really that close. In favorable ratings, Ensign is 39 percent favorable, 37 percent unfavorable; Reid is 34 percent favorable, 46 percent unfavorable.

When respondents were asked if they approve of the job the senators are doing, Ensign's still ahead. Almost half, 48 percent, say he's doing an excellent or good job and 45 percent say fair or poor; Reid's numbers are 43 percent to 55 percent.
