HILLARY CLINTON, BARACK OBAMA

Penn Departs As Penn-Sylvania Looks Bad For Hillary

Is perhaps the most revealing fact about the whole rise and fall of Mark Penn that he never thought being Hillary's chief-strategist was a full-time job?

Either way, he leaves as Hillary has stumbled on what ought to be friendly ground. Unless there's some sort of heavy-duty Bradley/Wilder effect going on, her lead in Pennsylvania keeps shrinking. Insider Advantage puts her up 3, ARG says it's a tie. A win at the currently modest 6.6 percent in the RCP average would be barely a win at all, considering the expectations.
