BARACK OBAMA
Keeping Track of Rumors of the Infamous Michelle Obama Tape
Supposedly, in twenty-five minutes, Larry Johnson is going to have some news to break on the often-rumored, but never-yet-confirmed tape of Michelle Obama denouncing "whitey." Roger Stone said on Fox News this weekend that he believes the tape exists, and "a network" has it, for whatever that's worth. (Perhaps more interestingly, Stone says seven news organizations have contacted him asking if he has it.)
I've heard from a reader which cable news program allegedly has it, but I'm waiting for confirmation.
Again - could the rumor be wrong? Would Michelle Obama really speak from the pulpit of Trinity United? Did she make the remarks in a different venue?
And if a network had it... why would they sit on it? If a right-of-center source had it, are they afraid the superdelegates could shift en masse to Hillary? If so, wouldn't this be held under wraps at least until the Democratic convention?
UPDATE: Larry Johnson is either crazy, a pathological liar, or he's giving us our first glimpse of a tape that will be devastating to Obama: "I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks."
ANOTHER UPDATE: I now doubt this tape exists, for reasons explained here.
