BARACK OBAMA, HILLARY CLINTON

What's More, There Are Unconfirmed Rumors Hillary and Obama May Be Irked With Each Other

This is one of those mornings I feel a little obtuse, because the New York Times is telling me something they think is news, and I just don't see how it is news:

They work in the same building. They slog through the same rigorous travel schedule. Along the way, they often cross paths several times a day.

But Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama have barely spoken to each other — at least in any meaningful way — for months.

Um... are we supposed to be surprised by this? They're competing against each other for the Democratic nomination. She's called him, "naive", he's called her "Bush-Cheney lite." Do we really think they'll be feeling chatty? That they'll have "meaningful" conversations?

"Hillary, it's Barack. I just called because something's on my mind, and wanted to ask you. What is the meaning of life?"

"That's funny, Barack, because I was just thinking of you, and wanted to ask you this: what do you think the afterlife is like?"
