HILLARY CLINTON

Hillary Strategist Mark Penn Complains Kucinich Got Easy Questions

I thought Team Hillary was supposed to be good at spin:

Penn, “Mantz and several supporters hinted repeatedly on the call that Clinton was unfairly targeted by Tim Russert, debate moderator and host of NBC’s ‘Meet the Press.’ ‘Russert made it appear that President Clinton had done something new or unusual,’ Penn said, before adding that it ‘is, in fact, an extremely confusing situation…  I think there will be further clarification.’”

“‘I hope so,’ a female caller responded. ‘To me, it was the most uncomfortable part of the debate.’”

“Penn turned again to Russert. ‘The other candidates were asked questions like, “Is there life in outer space?”

Kucinich got the UFO question, because he's claimed to have seen a UFO. (And let's face it, any other question would have brought of response of either, "Impeach Bush" or "I'm the only one on this stage who voted against the war." Obama got it as a follow-up, and he brushed it off with, "You know, I don't know, and I don't presume to know. What I know is there is life here on Earth — (laughter) — and — and that we're not attending to life here on Earth."

Does Team Hillary really expect she'll get the same kinds of questions as a joke candidate at one percent? A guy who's reciting the same answers he gave in the 2004 debates? Come on.

This means they're rattled.
